Don DeLeire

President

After attending Salem State College, Don began his insurance career in 1989 working for Congress Insurance in the Central Square location in Cambridge, MA. In 1993, he accepted a job offer to become the office manager of Congress’s Lynn, MA, location. For the next 23 years, Don built very strong, trusting relationships with his clients. The relationship between client and agent was the most important thing he wanted to focus on while in Lynn. He believed that if his clients knew how much he truly cared about helping them, that they would know they were always welcome at Congress. Whether a client was a brand new client or a client who had been with us for 10 years, he treated everyone with the utmost respect.

In June of 2017, after working nearly 30 years for Gordon Owades, the prior owner of Congress Auto Insurance, Don was offered the opportunity to take over ownership. This was a no-hesitation move for him, as this was his passion. Since the transfer of ownership in 2017, Don has made an even stronger commitment to providing his clients with the highest level of customer service. He’s a stout believer in giving back to the community that gives to him. In the past few years, Don and his son, Brendan, have been running ads in the local Daily Item such as “Athlete of the Week,” where high school coaches in Lynn send in their submissions each week for an athlete who exemplifies being a leader in the classroom as well as on the field and in the community. He has also been involved in Toys for Tots, Pan Mass Challenge for Cancer Research, sponsoring athletic tournaments throughout the year, and many more.

Brendan DeLeire

Brendan is involved in managing our commercial book of business here at Congress Insurance Agency of Lynn, Inc. He attended St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, MA, and went on to graduate from Salem State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Management and minor in Economics. Brendan specializes in small business contractors for any and all of their insurance needs. Whether a client is just starting there business or they’ve been in business for several years, he can help with finding a policy to fit their needs.

Brendan is also an active member of the community. He is a member of the Revolutionists Group, a networking community here in Lynn, MA comprised of young businessmen and businesswomen in the community. He is also a member of the North Shore Latino Business Association. Brendan can relate to many of our commercial clients who are out working with their hands and on their feet all day. For four years, while attending SSU, he landscaped full time during the summer. This experience taught him the importance of hard work. He also was able to learn Spanish in his time landscaping. Brendan is dedicated to getting his clients whatever they need in a timely manner and making sure that they always feel like they have a place to go no matter what their needs are.
